Projections Tournament

Posted on: April 18, 2008 3:57 pm

America East: Albany

ACC: UNC

At Large: Wake Forest, NC St., Duke, Virginia Tech

NIT: Maryland, Miami, Florida St.

CBI: Clemson

None: Virginia, Ga Tech, BC

Wake Forest recruiting gives a big push. Duke will make the tourny by name. Mays and King will be big losses for Clemson and Miami respectively. This assumes all UNC players stay.

A-Sun: Eastern Tennessee St.

A-10: Xavier

NIT: St. Joes' Charlotte, Duquense, Temple

CBI: Richmond

Dionte Christmas keeps Temple's hopes alive. Forbes and Daniels hurt UMASS and URI repectively.

Big East: Marquette

At Large: Georgetown, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Providence, Villanova, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Connecticut

NIT: WV, Seton Hall, DePaul, Cincinnati

None: St. John's, Rutgers, USF

With Alexander and Nichols leaving WVs only weapon to be Mazzula. Earl Clark is returning to Louisville. Maybe Caracter might too. Pitt is taking heavy losses.

Big Sky: Northern Arizona

Big South: UNC-Asheville and their 7' 7" beast

Big Ten: Purdue

At Large: MSU, Wisky, OSU

NIT: Minnesota

None: Northwestern, Illinois, Penn St., Indiana, Iowa, Michigan

Big 12: Kansas

At Large: Kansas St.

NIT: Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor

None: Iowa St. Colorado, Mizzou, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Oklahoma St.

Texas will lose DJ Augustin and A&M Jordan and Jones in my Draft Projections. Oklahoma and Baylor will struggle throughout the year making this a 2 bid league.

Big West: Pacific

CAA: VCU

At Large: ODU, UNC Wilmington

NIT: George Mason, Northeastern, Hofstra

C-USA: Memphis

NIT: UAB

CBI: UTEP, Houston

Memphis will only have Dozier remaining of their top 4 from a season ago in my latest projection with CDR leaving. Vaden is leavong UAB. See Nevada

Horizon: Valpo

NIT: UW-Milaukee

CBI: UW-GB

The top of the division will eventually fall. This is the year.

Ivy: Cornell

MAAC: Niagara

MAC: Kent St.

At Large: W. Michigan, Akron

NIT: Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan

Great year for this division

MEAC: Hampton

MVC: Creighton

At Large: Northen Iowa

NIT: Drake

CBI: Bradley, Southern Illinois

MWC: UNLV

NIT: SD St., NM

CBI: BYU

BYU is not good without Plaisted

NEC: Monmouth

This connference is always up for gabs with Monmouth being a 2 year school.

OVC: UT Martin

I feel Lester Hudson will come back. This prediction stays even if he doesn't.

Pac-10: USC

At Large: UCLA,  ASU, Arizona, Washington, Cal

NIT: Stanford, WSU, Oregon

None: OSU

USC-Mayo     UCLA- Love, Westbrook, Mata-Real, Collison, Mbah a Moute, and Shipp   Arizona-Bayless and possibly Budinger+Jennings

Stanford-Lopez twins     WSU-3 star seniors (Low is one Forgot the other 2)    Oregon- Leunen, Hairston, and other SG        Cal-Hardin and possibly Anderson        OSU- Giles and Marcel Jones       ASU and Washington retain key players        =a whole lot weaker Pac 10

Patriot: American

SEC: Tennessee

At Large: Kentucky, Mississippi St., Ole Miss

NIT: Arkansas, Florida

None: South Carolina, Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Georgia

MSU loses Charles Rhodes Tenn loses Lofton. UK loses Crawford and the rest of
